Age old Debate. . . Or maybe just a 21st century one.

So which is better Harry Potter, Eragon, or Twilight?
This is a tough one so let's analyze this.
First, you have Harry Potter, the boy who lived. Harry's life is very interesting and also full of excitement. In mere hours he went from being an unwanted orphan to a wizard celebrity. Talk about rags to riches, literally, he was poor and then found out he had a vault full of gold. But let's not forget his trusty friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, who have been with him since his first day of school. Harry Potter is a series that highlights growth, destinies entwined, and the cliche Dark vs Light, although this series is anything but cliche.
Next, on to the Twilight series. Vampires, Vampires, Vampires. It seems the whole world has been over run with this mania of vampires and Twilight has a little, if not a lot, to do with it. The Twilight series is a story of human and vampire love, with a werewolf as a distraction. Bella and Edward should not be together, but they are a bit hard of hearing, even with Edwards keen ears. They are opposite and Bella runs the risk of being Edwards "snack" anytime. But that's what makes this story so enticing. The daring of those two and their struggle to make an unlikely relationship work. Note, Vampires are a win-win no matter what. They are the king of cool in mythical realms.
Finally, Eragon the Dragon-Rider. Eragon is the story of a farm boy turned Dragon-Rider and the hope of his world. Sounds good huh? Yeah, it supposed to. This book is so rich with description and magic it is hard to describe. Think of that, you can't describe something with so much description. Eragon is set a world where a Ex-Dragon-Rider is a monarch, who has had free reign over them for about 40+ years. Then Eragon comes and challenges all of that. The series, which is unfinished, has something a lot of books do not have. The sense that it is a real world. Alagaësia is full of different races, languages, alliances, and beast. This gives it more credibility when you're reading it. It seems like it is real, and that's what I look for, even in fictional books.

So which is better? Which author deserves more credit?
Honestly I can only answer for myself. But I am very interested in hearing what you have to say.
So post comments and tell me what you think.

I've yet to read Eragon, but I do have an opinion for the 1st two. First of all, I thought Harry Potter was pretty ingenius. Rowling did an awesome job keeping the story going. She said from the beginning that there would be 7 books, so if you're in it for the long haul it was a good ride.

It might be stereotypical as a girl for me to say "i loved twilight". So I'll just say that I loved the storyline, until the ending. The ending was crap and for that I was pretty upset. I stayed in it for the long haul and didn't like where it ended. I believe that Meyer broke a few rules in the world of english writing. Now normally many rules are meant to be broken, when given exceptions but she broke the one rule of fiction that should never be broken:

*spoiler*
she gave everyone what they wanted in the end! That's not how stories end. At least in Harry Potter many people died to get to that ending. But nobody important died in twilight.
*end spoiler*

All I know is, both were well crafted stories and as a fan of fiction romance books Twilight was great. But the ending was lame.

I don't have an opinion yet of Eragon, looks interesting.

Thanks for the response, and yes Eragon is very, very good. Whisper *My favorite*. You should really read it. Also, it doesn't break the rule. That's all I am saying.
